From a coffee cart to a corner café

Cafe Calypso began in the early 1990s as a small coffee cart inside Half Price Books. Today it has its own space right next to the bookstore, joined by French doors, filled with the aroma of 26 international roasts.

The in-house bakers make a huge variety of sweet treats to pair with your latte and a good book. Try a Turkish coffee — and expect to be greeted with the café’s signature “Hello, my friend.”
